no your body is fighting something, just get a lot of rest, and drink fluids to flush out whatever bug is in there.

It seems as though you have a bug of some sort. What I would recommend is taking a nap in a sweater and fleece pants while being wrapped in several blankets. You're going to be hot, but chances are you'll sweat out whatever you have. I remember one time I was feeling so sick that I could hardly walk. I got home, laid down in my clothes (I had on jeans, socks, a short sleeved shirt, and a sweatshirt), put two blankets over me, and fell asleep. When I woke up, I was drenched in sweat but I felt 100% better. Try it, it might work.

My Temperature Is 96.6

Is it cold in the house in the morning? It could be because you are actually cold. Mine has been that low before. I wouldn't worry too much unless it keeps going down...
But take a nice warm shower and cuddle on the couch with some covers and you should be fine. I hope you feel better.

Normal is 98.6 not 96.6. You may be misreading the thermometer. 101 degrees is indeed an elevated temperature but only marginal as far as fevers go. You are 13 so there may be all kinds of hormonal causes.

Hope you feel better.

What's you normal average temp? It may have just come back down to it's normal temp. Mine runs right about 96.6 or 96.8 when I'm not sick. If mine gets up to 99 I'm real sick. If you're not feeling well talk to your parents and see about going to the doctor

You body has fought off a virus is what it sounds like. Or your still on Tylenol or Advil that will keep your temp low until it wears off then your temp will come back up. You need to get rest so it will not return. Hope this helped.

No worries. Most measurements are inaccurate anyway. Unless you stick the thermo where the sun never shines it's all bound to vary. I've got a good ear thermometer and repeated measures always vary by at least one degree.

It is not uncommon for one's temperature to be below normal after a fever. The important thing is how you are feeling - are you feeling any better?

sounds as though your fever broke during the night.
Your body temperature is probably a little low as you are not well and haveb't eaten much. Wrap up warmly and look after yourself until you are completely well.

Did you drink something cold right before you took your temperature, that can affect it?

98.6 is only the average normal body temperture. My normal temp is 99.2 whereas my husband's in 97.4.
