The only reference I could find is a link to some Marine with a Jeep.

I also saw lyrics listed, so I guess it's a band too.

My wife lived in that area and Borrego. She has heard of that and says it is also in a book by Louie Lamour. And the story goes back to at least the 1880's. It is not the same as the Borrego monster.

Also yucca monster is slang for any ugly chicks that hang around the bars that military guys go to in 29 Plams.
