I have to go there on Friday to a meeting and th Regency was booked up, so I am going to stay at the Sax and either walk or take a cab to the Sax. What do you reccomend?

I mean, I am either going to walk from the Sax to the Hyatt or get a cab. My friend told me to be careful, since its less than a mile away, the cab drivers will probably try to screw me since I am not a city girl.

Just walk. Head south when you leave the Sax hotel, walk the bridge over the river, and head towards the lake on Wacker.
If it´s rainy or really super cold, take a cab, but say the exact address of the Hyatt 151 East Wacker Drive, not the Hyatt, or they might take you to the Hyatt way south of town.
Take a really warm coat, whatever you do. It´s so windy, and if the weather turns ugly, you´ll be so cold.

Friday the forecast is for a high around 50. The low Thursday night is expected to be is in the mid 30s, so it will be cold (around 40) when you walk. If you don't like that, then cab it. The walk is simple though. You walk across the river, then you're at Wacker, which where you are staying hugs the south side of the river. Head east (to your left after you cross the bridge), and you'll come to the Hyatt just east of Michigan Avenue, only about 3 blocks away.
If you don't want to walk in the cold, you'll want to catch a cab on a southbound street to avoid extra mileage and time charges. The hotel is on Dearborn, which is a one way going the wrong way, so walk one street east (State) or west (Clark) to catch a cab heading south. You should be there quickly and for under $5, as the route then is just left turn south of the river and then follow Wacker to the Hyatt. Nothing to it; you'll be able to tell at once if the driver tries to screw you, which I doubt would happen anyway.

There is no reason for you to take a cab. Hotel Sax is steps away from the Hyatt Regency. You pretty much just have to cross the river and walk a tad east.
Google Map the addresses for the two hotels, and you'll have a decent map to orient yourself. You should have no problem at all.

there's a Bennigan's at 225 North Michigan Ave, and yet another at one hundred fifty S. Michigan. the two considered one of that are close (225 North would be closer) Then there is Harry Caray's at 33 W. Kinzie (kinzie & n dearborn). innovations-blowing broiled whitefish! Lot's of Budweider. in case you like Thai, there is Singha, at 350 North Clark. you somewhat can no longer pass incorrect with Bennigans or Harry's.

If it's less than a mile and the weather is good, walk. 15 minutes or less. To be prepared, call a couple of local cab outfits from your room and ask the fare, or ask at the hotel desk.
