With no phone or cable there is generally not another way. However, if you have a wireless card or a wireless adapter there could be a network close by that is in range and you could connect to it so long as it is either an unsecured network or if the person who has it allows you use of the password. if your computer is not a desktop and is in fact a laptop and you have either a wireless card or a wireless adapter then you can also make use of "free" wifi at many restaurants and coffee shops as well as at many motels and hotels. But otherwise it may be wise to get a phone to use dial-up access ( requires membership to a service such as earthlink, people pc or AOL etc.) or with a phone you can get dsl, which is high speed. The other option is cable, and most cable companies will install Internet access without a phone or cable TV. There is also satellite Internet service through a company such as hughesnet which for a huge cost will hook you up with a high speed connection. There are also services such as Clearwire which if you have wireless access on your computer you will have wireless Internet service. the cost for these services are low and if you do not have wireless on your computer a wireless adapter can be picked up to plug into a USB port for less than 100.00 dollars and you would be able to pick up a wireless service if you are in range. i hope this has been helpful. good luck.

Yes, the other way to do it is with a PC card. These are usually for your laptop and allows you to have wireless Internet pretty much anywhere you go. Sprint, Cingular and Verizon are just some of the companies that offer it. The monthly charge is usually about what you would pay for DSL or Cable Internet. The card is usually free when you sign up for new service; a 1-2 year contract is required though. Call them up and see what prices and offers they currently have. Good luck!

I have Road Runner. Cable Internet. I get free basic cable with it, and it is only 30 dollars a month. I use SKYPE for Internet calling to people who also have SKYPE. I have a cell phone, which is why Ij didn't want a landline. I don't need two phones. I am going to try some other Internet phone gadgets, but Skype works pretty good for what I need it for, which is International. I also have a NetZero Voicemail to give out to business contacts.

The only way to get the internet is via satellite, cable, phone line, or cellphone.

If you have a cellphone, you can check with your provider and they may be able to assist you in selecting a phone with internet capabilities (if you don't already have one.) And, if you buy a package, you can get this for a moderately inexpensive fee.

Yes. Theres satellite internet, and also mobile wireless internet such as Sprint.

In addition you could be able to connect to a nearby wireless network with a wireless NIC, USB, or PCMIA adapter. Some newer laptops have built in wireless if there is a nearby network as well. When I say "nearby network," I am referring to a friend or neighbor nearby with a wireless router that has an "open" connection (w/o a password). Of course you should have permission first haha ;).

Wireless equiped laptop and regular visits to Starbucks, the local library, or some other place equiped with wifi, including the neighbors who haven't put up protection from people in the street.
Or you could move to one of the towns that have installed citywide wifi.

Call the companies and ask, maybe they can install a line just for the internet. Or go to the library, and use the net for free.

3. DSL--requires DSL to your location-fibeer optic
4. wireless-three types of wireless

I do not know where you live but I have my computer set up like that. The company that supplied my DSL ran a line just for that. I can hook up to 3 computers on it. If you can find a company who does that you are in business!

3 ( http://www.three.co.uk ) offer a wireless service (you get a USB dongle that connects to the computer). Its pretty slow outside central London, but the network is expanding.
