what kind of custody would he be awarded?

custody would probably be given to you unless he can prove why it shouldn't be. He may be given permission to take the child for a week or two depending on his track record and whether he keeps up his child support payments or not.

child support can be filed for in MI and collected in FL for you.

Good luck.

Most likely it will be some time every summer and alternating holidays like spring break and christmas.

It's best though if you both work together to arrange this. You can specify times for visits as well as mode of transportation and who will be responsible for paying for it all.

You will likely be the residential parent also.

there are many factors when it comes to a judge granting custody of a child... which parent is more suited to nurture and care for the child? is the child in school? would uprooting the child be detrimental? etc.

you have to speak with legal counsel in this regard. take care.

WOULD HE? No one can answer you since we don't know either of you.

COULD HE? Joint legal and residential custody. Or simply Joint LEGAL with you retaining residential. OR none at all depending on the specific circumstances.

Distance plays no factor in custody determination.
