How about World's Finest Chocolate? Was that THE BEST or what! It was 50 cents way back in the late 1960s. We raised enough money to get closed circuit TV and a covered walkway between buildings.
I had some Kathryn Beich (that's who made Katydids) candy this morning from someone at work's kid's fundraiser -- it was stale. The last time I had the Golden Crumbles, my former favorite, someone tasted them and said they tasted salty. Now they're too salty for me...I'm very suggestible.

I only remember eating the caramel turtles with pecans. I used to love them but not anymore, for some reason. I've seen the pecan/caramel turtles in the stores here. Russell Stover sells them by the box & there's another brand that sells them in Wal*Mart, but I don't recall the name. (Lindt?) The best turtles are the ones that you buy from an authentic candy shop. Yummy!!!

Yes, I remember the Katydids. They were yummy! I think they were replaced my candy bars for fund raisers now. My favorite of those is the carmel ones also!

I'm not familiar with that brand, but I Iove the 'turtle' candy, I like it with the pecans too. It's one of my mom and sister's favorite candies too. I remember selling different types of candy for fundraisers when we were in school, sometimes kids still do.
