it's not always immediate. kind of like mailing a check to pay a bill. you can look online and see that the bill has been paid, however the funds have not yet come out of your checking. they will, there's just a little delay in the processing.

i'm unclear on why you'd put money in paypal instead of a bank, however. if your bank is your primary funding source for paypal and you use paypal to buy something, they CAN and WILL do an immediate transfer from your bank account. unless they're offering a better interest rate than your regular bank, you shouldn't leave it in paypal.

It takes 4-5 business days to transfer from a bank account. Weekends and holidays don't count. Your paypal account should say processing and early this week the money should be in your paypal balance.

Second answer. You do not have to pre-fund your paypal account to use it. If you have a bank account tied to your paypal account it will be debited for purchases directly. You do not need a paypal balance to purchase anything except if you are in the countries that only have EFT as a option.

Paypal robbed me as well, as far as I'm concerned they are a legal criminal enterprise.

Paypal sucks. It took 2 weeks for me to get a check from them for items I sold on ebay. They're slOw. And I think they tie up other peoples money for their own investment payoffs. Our money, in their accounts equals more interest earned for the company. Good luck getting through on the phone.

Read your terms of use agreement. They have the power and they use it to their benefit. Try being a seller in a disputed deal. The buyer has all of the power then. I know from being out a thousand dollar vase and the payment.
