I was thinking of buying plants for my aquarium. Do you think plants are useful for a betta. The tank size is 11*5*6. How plants should I keep in my aquarium.

P.S- The plants are real

Betta's love planted tanks - not only are they useful, but any good betta keeper will provide them (at least fake anyway). This is exactly how their natural environment is - plants give them security, lower stress, and improve activity.

You can keep as many plants as you want in your aquairum - if they fit, you're ok. More plants is always better with bettas - just make sure there's some open space toward the front.

Yes bettas do very well with plants. I have kept bettas in both planted and unplanted tanks and they seem much happier and much more active in planted tanks. My current betta is in a very heavly planted 2.5gal tank and is very active and seems to love working his way through the plants. Remember a bettas natural habitat is rice paddies which are more plants than water.

A Java Fern would also be a good choice for a plant. The best part about java fern is that you don't have to plant it in gravel. Just gently tie it to a small rock with fishing line until its roots grab hold of the rock.
My betta loves to hang out in the leaves and roots of the small plantlets that java fern grows to reproduce.

That is a very small tank you have on your hands, only about 1.5 us gallons
I hope it's at least filtered and heated, because bettas thrive in temperature around 78-82 degrees

As for plants, i wouldn't put more then one in there, but they love to rest on them
You could try water sprite or similar

Hope that helps
Good luck

i have a betta and i put a foliage plant in there its a simple leaf plant after a while it will grow into vines! but ive had mine for 6 months, it looks very nice, but u need to be careful because some plants can kill the fish the most common plant is a lily!
