You know, I disagree with ALL of liberal comments. I sometimes hate them so bad, and am so filled with anger about them.
Yet I don't report them.
Doesn't that tell you something? Libs can't handle opinions that differ from theirs. I can't either, but I don't have to have it removed to move on with my life!

I've had questions and answers deleted before, but not an account. I have no idea why Suthrnlyts was deleted? She's been here forever. Several others have been too over the past 2 weeks. I thought Yahoo was taking care of "reporting trolls"?

Not on here. But I get my fair share of violations usually from difference of opinions. Last lot came out of spite. From age old q's .... Those doing the reporting need to keep in mind that they're being watched.
Always write customer care back. Otherwise it is just a computer generated effort. Often they do not write back. In my short time here I have been amazed to see the massive slaughter of truly descent posters. Suth was great and what drove the suspension is way beyond understanding. Some were really acting up and ... bringing the attention on themselves.
I got blamed today for someone losing a previous account. There is no person really capable of doing that. Mainly it is the work of the poster bringing them down But?? If Suth got numerous hits? Nothing makes any sense!! My "judge" impersonates a known contributor in a dress. I take comments like that seriously. Not willing to report the personal attack... but I find these types responsible for the downfall of our community. btw I wrote the original supported the fake and this is the thanks I get?
Thanks ET for being so vocal and supportive to a truly worth while cause here. The last two days have been like a ghost town. And ... then we see they return or morph into ... what next!
yes makes me sick
no we have no power here, just will power.

I've only been using and enjoying answers for a few weeks. I had question deleted for some reason and a violation sent because a called some nutty person a nutty person (I guess I deserved that). I have received some personal attacks but never thought of reporting them.
This board would be useless if we had to be politically correct.

I think you would need to contact the advertisers individually rather than through the Media.
I have never been suspended, but I have received violations for the most benign posts while NOT receiving a violation, for times when I hate to admit it, but was pretty hateful in my answer.

I sincerely believe this is Y/H's way of maintaining the appearance of a liberal majority, part of their efforts to insure that conservative viewpoints are suppressed and liberal viewpoints are mainstream.
I had my original account suspended for 12 violations scattered over 7 months, violations that were in no way blatant, opinions that others just disagreed with.
I recently received a violation for answering a question with one word, 'no.' Has it been reversed? No.
I have heard many say that this is most likely to happen soon after a conservative poster's points reach 10,000. Exactly what mine had just hit.
I would do anything to help change the situation because I know firsthand that it is unjust but right now, I don't know what could possibly help.

It is a shame when when of the most thoughtful posters on Y!A Politics can get suspended. I have never seen a question or answer from suthrnlyts that even walked the line on the Y!A TOS.

Suthrnlyts, Alpha Male, and Brian are gone. Beach Bum is doing this. I've never been suspended on here but I'm not as innocent as they are.

I've found I offend libs a lot and often get messages that are yanked by Yahoo because they've offended someone's definition of politically correct.
Sorry to hear about Suthernlyts.. I like her posts. She is bright and articulate as opposed to the virulent vermin that often post on the counter side of the argument she is involved with.
I don't know if Yahoo even monitors what they pull. If someone lodges a complaint the post is yanked.
Suspension as I see it by Yahoo standards (if you can call it that) is based on a flagrant violation of Terms of Service.. I don't know they do it arbitrarily but I don't doubt that if a Yahoo board moderator sees something they don't agree with they have the power to control it. Even if there exercise of that power pushes the envelope of speech. It is left coast owned entity.. I take that for what it's worth. If you control what people see, hear, or read you control information. Marxist principal #1.

Suthrnlyts is one of the most articulate & intelligent posters on this site. She is always kind and respectful to other posters. This suspension is unbelievable.
They should reinstate her account with a huge apology.
And for the person/people who reported her and had her suspended...I pity you. You are too involved in this site and you need to step back and get a grip on reality.

Suthrnlyts should not have been suspended. She is seldom correct (:)), but, is always measured in her responses.
Y/A doesn't state just how a suspension occurs. They have guidelines, but are mute on any specifics of how a name becomes suspended.
My first YA alphabet soup was canceled out. I get a few questions removed, but not many. I sometimes have the question re-instated after protesting to yahoo.
I doubt the media would care about YA boards!
