when the 3 remaining survivors escape to the island at the end do you think that eventually they be killed by the zombies or is there no way way for them to be caught. This is probably my favorite zombie movie and 28 days later is awesome also. Let me hear your opinions.

...at the time, I was of the opinion that the three survivors might have actually found their isolated island paradise that John spoke of, at the first of the film; based upon Sarah's crude calender, they had apparently been there long enough to check the island out (...depending upon how big it was; this was never really determined)...

...however, with the psychological, mental and physical developments, which seemed to have occurred between "Dayof the Dead" and "Land of the Dead" (...i.e., zombies crossing water, and consciously choosing to do it; now, now...all due credit to Romero, we really should properly credit Lucio Fulci, for establishing THAT concept first, in 1980's "Zombie"), depending upon the undetermined time that has passed between the time periods of both films, I think that their paradise might just be short-lived, and they would have to find solice, elsewhere...

I never watched the end of the movie through the credits so I never heard about zombies being on the island. But, I think they were ok because they were on the island for a couple of days.

I think you're referring to "Dawn of the Dead", the 2004 remake. In "Day of the Dead" people are trapped in a military compound and scientists are studying the zombies... which of course backfires on them. In Dawn of the Dead, they escape to an island, but if you watch the end of the film through the credits you will see the zombies from the island attacking them. It's pretty obvious that they all die...

If I remember correctly, I thought there were already zombies on that island. Or wasn't one hiding in their boat?

I forget which it was, but I remember watching thinking oh good they made it, but then saying oh shoot! they're dead when I saw a zombie on the island with them.

EDIT: Thanks to Jennifer, now I remember, it showed during the credits - you had to stay and finish watching. There were zombies on the island already.

Its a typical hollywood ending, I think its a statement to leave the viewer thinking "is the uprising still amongst us?"
Dood you should totally checkout twenty eight weeks later, i was sketptical because its done by a diff. director and there are different actors, but its done very well! Lots of fast cuts and the soundtrack is bad&*%$!Hope this helps!
