One example of many:

Recently their Bill O' Reilly (one of the most famous pundits in America) described ongoing fierce fighting in Afghanistan as a 'myth' spread by anti-Americans.

I think the families of our (British) servicemen fighting and dying in Helmand Province would consider this a gross insult.

The fierce battling? there have been some assaults and skirmishes, yet 'fierce'? As of October 5, 2007, the British forces have suffered 80 2 fatalities. it quite is in 5 years! I rather have a feeling that great Britain has lost greater beneficial electorate from the flu very final 3 hundred and sixty 5 days as they have in try opposed to over the superb 5. it rather is what invoice O'Reilly is talking approximately. basically by using reality you do no longer settle for reality or have faith it, would not advise that Fox is defective.

The fierce fighting? There have been some attacks and skirmishes, but 'fierce'? As of October 5, 2007, the British forces have suffered 82 fatalities. That's in 5 years! I have a feeling that Great Britain has lost more citizens from the flu last year as they have in combat over the last five.

This is what Bill O'Reilly is talking about. Just because you don't accept reality or agree with it, doesn't mean that Fox is wrong.

I hope so, but am not sure. I believe it may be possible if you approach it with the thought in mind that many of us here in the United states are also terribly offended, angry, sad and disappointed that such drivel is taken for fact by so many.

Personally after these last 27 years, since Ronald Reagan became president, I have come to question the concept of Democracy as it is practiced here. It seems to have become simply the means of finding the lowest common denominator and a means of the moneyed to exploit the rest of us. Of course I also reject dictatorships, communism and the like. I do not know of an ideal form of government for "the masses". Certainly the United States and the world is in need of a new and better paradigm. Currently I am a de-facto prisoner of the bull**** practices of my government and am suffering the hate of you and innumerable others because of it. Being effectively politically voiceless and impotent, I am reduced to attempting to maintain my personal honor, integrity and principles.

I wonder if that might not be the start of a much improved paradigm. After all, there is no government without self-government.

So why do you watch it?

I don't because it is stupid. I also don't read Pravda for the same reason.
Fox news is the TV equivalent of al-jazeera magazine lol.

Why even bother talking about them like they matter? There are like 100 other news channels out their to choose from. I guess that is what is good about the media in the US. I can read or watch anything I choose from a million different sources. I can go to a bookstore and get the national review or the progressive.....I can get the New York Post or the New York Times....the choice is up to me what to read.

If I think they are dumb and sensationalistic, I just don't pay them attention. It is not liked I am forced to watch it. In fact.... the FACT that all these people are watching it, just to hate on it...is helping their ratings!! So just don't watch it, and It will not be so popular!

Fox News does NOT cater to the liberals and other Countries and you guys just can't handle another side.

Watching CNN made me bitter and angry all the time.

Fox News ratings are high for a reason and should tell liberals something.

If we all allowed ourselves to be briainwashed by the liberal media then we would all be screwed. Fox does show good things that has happened in Iraq or Afhanistan, but your liberal loony media refuses to show the good. So that's fair and balanced??

The left and jerks like Murtha and Kerry hurt our troops by their lack of truth and insulting our men and women in harms way.

You anti-american foreigners have no clue what a true American is. So get lost on your anti-american rhetoric!

Its frightening how inaccurate the stuff that gets spewed out by that channel. I just stare at it in amazement. I think that if Fox News said that the moon was made of Cream Cheese half of America would beleive it and call anyone who didn't "anti-American". Terrifying. I can't beleive they show it here in the UK. I guess its good that we can see how brainwashed people in the USA are!

yup O' Reilly is good alright. when i was in America watching fox he once said when talking about Muslims bombing all over the place, you don't see catholics bombing people do you. with a name like o' Reilly you would have thought he had heard of Ireland. still we are talking about a nation that enjoys a cocktail called an Irish car bomb. hey lets have a twin tower crash. or a 9/11 special. see how these silly silly ignorant people feel then.

Unfortunately, what you say is true. Fox is popular with SOME Americans, not all. Some of us watch it more for its entertainment value not for information, because it is so biased. Bill O, Hannity and the like are sometimes funny when they go off on their rants, their left wing conspiracy stories, etc. But PLEASE don't think all Americans are like that! There are plenty of us who would love to get real news and do search for it in other places.

mayorqui sumed up the american attitude perfectly. We the people of the rest of the world mean nothing to the americans. They don`t care whether we live or die. Everything in america is me! me! me! Fox news is just an extention of the same idea.!!!

I occasionally watch Fox news for the "fairly unbalanced" reporting.
And for the laugh.
