I was recently pulled out of school, due to the school being inadequate to my needs, i have been asking my dad for ages, for this computer, but since I'm not in school anymore, i need a computer for my studies, Its £749, But it is a tablet pc with loads of stuff. I was thinking of asking the whole family for donations and then my dad can make up the difference. Am i pushing my luck?

If you don't ask you don't get!

But £749 is a bit much isn't it ?

You question is missing a lot of information...

-How old are you?

-What are you doing for "studies" now (private tutoring? Self study?)

-What subjects are you studying

-*Why* do you need a computer?

-And *why* do you need a tablet PC?

-How affluent is your father?

All of these questions should help you decide for yourself. Rather than asking your father for a laptop, I would instead approach him and explain why you need one and let him do the problem solving. He may buy one for Christmas or help you find a way to earn one.

I don't understand how the school was inadequate for your needs.

You don't need a tablet pc, how about a regular laptop?

in my opinion, i'd particularly have a computer particularly than an iPad. i do no longer see the charm of the iPad thinking that's an overgrown iPod touch/mini, no longer as sturdy computer... yet you're able to ask for whichever one you opt for greater or think of would be a greater ideal determination for you. :]

How you on the Inet now?
What you can do. Wait until your dad around where he hear you talking to yourself. Go to this link;
http://www.laptopgiving.org/
Then say to yourself, and loud enough for Dad to hear; "Dang! Even children in third world countries getting a laptop for Christmas. I feel so, forth world now and will be under-educated to compete in a one world environment". LOL!

Well, you could probably get something a little cheaper, but if that's what you want..

Then, what could it hurt to ask?

I mean, if you don't ask, there's no way you can get it.

Hey, go for it, you never know.
But don't get your hopes up to high
I asked Santa for a bike once.
But the fat git did not get me one.
lol
