Oh yeah. But I always try to do the maximum, and support them the best I can. Because sometimes, just being there and listening to someone, helps a lot!

Yes, you can never seem to do enough when someone they love has died. But I try to do the best that I can.
When my friend Ed's girlfriend dumped him and he was sooooo depressed, I flew to Chicago to spend the holiday weekend with him one Columbus Day weekend several years ago and I've never regretted it although the airline ticket was a bit pricey.
It helped him remember that lots of us do value him and care about him, even if we're just pals and not romantically involved, so that helped some.

I am sure that everyone feels that sometimes, but friends who are so needy can be a drain. At some point they will need to take responsibility for their own well being.

Sometimes,,I do what I can and let them know I am always there for them,,anytime time of day and hope they have enough strength to get through what ever obstacles life throws their way.
