Perhaps it has something to do with welcoming with open arms and wallets anyone whose views are in the same vein as their own. And don't be fooled, Hillary and the lot have undergone a political make-over to try and appeal more to the moderate swing voters. Call it a face lift if you will, but when you get right down to it, it doesn't matter how much sugar you pour on a pile of crap, what's underneath is still just that, crap. What most don't understand, is that you can go so far to the left, that you end up on the extreme right. Think about it.

FDR remains via some distance the main liberal president the rustic has ever seen. the recent Deal thoroughly altered and accelerated the federal government. JFK replaced into the emblem of the ingenious 60's. you think of he's by some potential no longer liberal through fact he took a trouble-free, politically secure place on abortion that he's by some potential to the nicely suited via as we communicate's standards? Please. So no. Obama hasn't proposed something that's no longer finished via a majority of capitalist western international locations in terms of the two wellness care, potential, or stabilization of the financial device. If something, the party is in basic terms too centrist. they could desire to step up and lessen the outrageous militia funds and pour it into preparation and infrastructure.

Every group has it's cults of power/$/Votes. When they are needing their assets they pander to them when they need a wider group they tend to quietly talk on other subjects.
Remember Both Politicians & the constituents have at most a 6 months memory. It appears the politician aren't into solutions unless it can play into a sound bite. Bandaids/quick fixs are the only items that will play into a sound bite & they last as long.
Remeber Bush said the war on terrorism would last decade, the Left thinks he said it would be a walk in the park.

It also shows the lack of conviction that the democrat party really has. It cannot take a firm stance on anything;hence, you have presidential candidates like Hillary changing her mind every 10 minutes.
Now make no mistake, the republican party itself acts much the same. If the republican party wants to become the major party for this country, then it needs to do what Bobby Jindal did to become governor of Louisiana. He said he was a conservative, promoted conservative ideals and values, and was not afraid to take a conservative stand on the issues regardless of who would not like that stance. Consequently, he was elected outright with over 52% of the vote against some of the more popular old time Louisiana politicians.
As Rush says, conservative stances win every single time over liberal and moderate stances.

Greed! And the idea that the government will do everything for them. The government should only be there for necessary services and encourage independence. Encouraging independence might end generational welfare.
The Only social programs I am in agreement with are for disabilities, disadvantaged children and the elderly. I also feel a person who has served in any conflict deserves never to bew homeless.
Following the people you mention only shows the lack of character and reason. Liberal certainly doesn't stand for what it used to!

You speak as if these groups are out to harm America .
I like the point Moore made about Bush just sitting around doing nothing while this nation was under attack . Like all people tend to do they point out the most flagrant of examples and might go a little to far for the taste of some people .
No denying that Bush just sat around . No denying that the upscale malls yielded less interest in joining the services ,or that our officials had not read the patriot act and discovered the fine print in over a thousand pages of laws written in advance of the 9-11 attacks . Certainly an agenda !.
Everyone knows Al Sharpton has an agenda and that is to make money of the problem of racial divide in this nation . The inequality of jobs for the colored people and the opportunity available to them .
You must agree that like women who once claimed they had to be twice as good and as smarter then a man to get ahead were right so is it true that black men must be almost perfect in their performance on the job .
They are not actually welcome at the higher level positions and as such struggle much harder then their white counter parts .
I could go on , but its pointless when answering a question like this to a narrow minded conservative who by definition is resistant to change of any kind preferring to live in the past under archaic constraints and definitions when the whole world is changing around them . .

The Democratic front runners do distance themselves fro the more radical left wing, just as the front running Republicans distance themselves from the just as radical far right. Both parties have their whack jobs and outspoken nutcases.

The Democrat party is just like the Republican party of 1980. Both parties have pushed right. The Republican party only represents the extreme right wing fringe who care nothing about the Bill of Rights or a balanced budget. The Democrats of today are the party of country club democrats. They couldn't care less about the average worker. Look at Hillary Clinton's campaign. Terry McCaulif is in charge. That should tell you volumes.
I get so tired of lies packaged as the truth on YA. If you think todays Democrats are liberal, you must be under thirty years old.

The conservative definition of "far left" has observers elsewhere in the world scratching their heads. In many countries there is an active communist party, which is often part of the government. In the US, the "left wing" is attacked for not wanting to put old people out on the street, for believing there should be some limits on polluters, and for thinking that maybe the interests of the rich and corporations are not always the best interests of the country. Ooohhh, radical.

The same could be asked of the Republicans. Let's face it. The Republicans aren't exactly a bunch of saints. Consider the many scandals that occur on an almost daily basis.
There are extremes on both sides and if you don't see it, you're being too narrow-minded.
