I know someone who has filed to recieve spousal support/alimony... she is claming adultery (of which there is no proof) and desertion.... and really wants this outrageous figure... keep in the mind the marriage was not a stable one... they had seperated several times of the course of the 14 year marriage, she herself also had embezzled money, had a gambling problem.... ... where is a site that I can find out about this type of thing in the state of Virginia...

There are many laws concerning this but a judge considers many factors before ordering the amount (if any) of alimony. Child support has guidelines set in place.
