Who are some famous photographers that I can get my "modeling portfolio" done by?

If you are thinking of putting together a modeling portfolio in order to show it to agencies, it isn't necessary. You just need the right physical characteristics to start with, and then some good amateur shots to send to agencies. If a professional agency decides to take you, THEY will help you put together a portfolio for work purposes. It's an arrangement called "time for pictures"---you donate time to certain photographers (vetted by the agency) who want new shots for their portfolios, and they in return give you pictures from the shoot for *your* portfolio.

The goal of photographers and models alike is to eventually have a portfolio composed 100% of "tear sheets", or actual paid work in ads, catalogs, fashion spreads. etc. But nobody has tear sheets when they're just starting out. So this is how everyone's portfolios are filled in the beginning.

Having a professionally-done portfolio in advance will not give you an edge with an agency. They will pretty much know at a glance whether they can make money off of you or not. I'd rethink spending thousands of dollars for a famous photographer, if I were you. There are better ways for an aspiring model to spend money (such as eventual relocation to New York, where most of the modeling work is.)

can't say it any better than Helene... give her the best answer.

Besides, you know that unless you pay an absorbent fee or are a family friend, a famous photog isn't going to shoot you. They're busy with ad campaigns or famous clients.
