well of course they do, but they need to see if you are telling the truth or not. Don't listed to these other fools, psychic hotlines is the only way to make decisions.
I ask them for advice on everything, what time I should get up, what clothes to wear, how many times I should pee in the corner at work when no one is looking....

You can be assured that anything you hear from one of these supposed psychics have been tried and tested as being fakes. I saw a documentary last week where a guy called posing as several different people, a woman, an older man and a younger man, he nailed them at the end of the interview and they had been exposed for the frauds that they are. He made a complete fool of ALL of them!! The don't know anything! They tell you what you want to hear

Interesting question, though when you call anything and give them some company your ID number, do they still ask whom their speaking with and for something else to identify you with? Allot of time Psychic may ask your name to get the conversation going or to pick up on your vibration in order to give you the best reading they can. Also, if I had met you for the first time I would like to know your name so I'm not constantly saying hey you!! I'm in retail and I ask my customer name so I can treat them personally.

It is a part of psychic therapy to treat even urgent calls as normal calls from ordinary people. In the later cases the first thing we do is ask the person to identify himself. By responding similarly to a call even on a hotline the recipient is trying to suggest to the confused speaker that he is just as sane as othe Tom,Dick or Harry. If he were conveyhis nervousness which the frantic call presaged he is bound to adversely affect the mood of the caller as well. He will not only treat the call as other ordinary calls he may even keep his conversation lighthearted. to further relax the caller.Of course they know the caller and yet first ask him to identify himself for this obviously redudant question.

The reason they ask for your name is because they are lying, cheating, and scamming you...
No of course they don't already know your name!
There is no such thing as a psychic.
They just want your money.
