Can you be more specific? Did you buy the pvp edition only? That is only for unlocking skills for pvp and does not give you pve quests.

If you have the full version of Nightfall then you just need to create a PvE (roleplaying) character. You'll start in the tutorial section and receive a quest from Kormir. Just progress thru the storyline and you'll complete quests and missions.

To get a quest, talk to someone with an exclamation point over their head. When you complete the quest, do the same with the person you are told in the quest description to talk to. If I remember correctly, you talk to people by left clicking on them.

Where are you located? I mean, what town are you in? If you haven't sunk the boats yet (or don't know what I am talking about) and haven't completed your first instance mission, talk to the person near the gate with the shield and sword over his head.

Also, in Nightfall quite a few quests start in the field, I'd keep an eye out for people there. (Early quests don't give much money, you'll need to sell loot to make up the difference.)
