As a husband, I brought my wife flowers every week when I came home from work (I work 7 days offshore and am home for 7 days).

She also said that she preferred plants, but they had a tendency to die just as quickly as the cut flowers.

We have a shop that just opened up called 'Edible Arrangements', chocolate dipped fruits and stuff arranged in bouquets that I tried,

But, I still like giving flowers.

Due to the expense, only in a blue moon. He did recently
pick up some discounted flowers however from a shop nearby that sells overstock they've gotten from retail stores.
And my husband brought home 7 red long stemmed roses.
They were turning on the ends, but I was able to enjoy them
for about three days before they hung their heads in shame.
But at least I was able to enjoy them a short while anyway.
Usually when I do get flowers they are a few days old and
they can be purchased for a few dollars in good condition.
This was the first time, he'd found roses for sale and wanted
to surprise me with some prettier flowers. Being on a low fixed income, it's not easy to afford things we used to take for
granted before retirement. So I am more appreciative of what cut flowers can be bought and loved for the time they stand up straight and tall on our dining room table.

my husband never buys flowers, and I have the same...A yard full. lol...Mine just goes and picks them out of my yard to save the money... and picks what ever flowers are in season in the wild... flowers don't have to cost anything. Tell him so.... (Any man can buy flowers but It takes a man with big Jewl to bring home a hand full of flowering weeds).

No He is not a flower man. I think he has bought me flowers about 3 times in 22 yrs.
My son brings his fiance flowers all the time so I'm glad he hasn't learnt his fathers slack ways.

My husband still brings me flowers and my favorites are the ones that he picks from the side of the road or some where. Just sort'a hint around that you miss that and see what happens. Maybe he forgot about doing that.

Not married now; but when I was he wasn't into giving flowers....however, I did date a super great guy for years who always brought me flowers...each time a different type with an original note enclosed. Yes, it felt so very nice!

Yes, I am single now, but I have been very fortunate to always have men that brought me flowers. I love it even if they picked the flowers themselves.
