My menstrual cycle is not due until tomorrow the 6th. I took a EPT pregnancy test on Saturday the 3rd and there was a dark horizontal line and a very light vertical indicating a positive (I couldn't wait, as we have been trying for a couple of months) I was not sure if my eyes were playing tricks on me so I bought another test, this time a first response and I tested yesterday the 4th, This time I got one dark line and another faint line again. I am going to schedule my Dr. appointment today to make sure. I just want to know if there has been anyone who got the same as me and ended up not being pregnant? I don't want to get excited and then get my hopes down.

The chances of a pregnancy test kit giving wrong positive results are rare while giving wrong negative results do happen. Most inccidents are people after testing think they are not pregnant but later found out they are.
I had it tested too and was given a faint second line too. Went to the doctor and I was pregnant. Maybe your HCG level is low thats why you can't see clearly. My doctor told me to come back the second week to check my HCG level and when it went up, the results were much clearer.
Always let nature takes it course ,sometimes the more you want to get pregnant the more it won't happen as the stress might affect. Many friends of mine got pregnant once they stop thinking about it or stressing about it. Hope you get the good news..good luck

It's unlikely to get false positive. False negatives are common but there has to be hcg in the urine to make it turn positive, unless they were faulty tests. It's weird that the tests at the doctor's office came back negative, considering they pretty much use the same ones you buy at Wal-Mart. Unless it was late in the afternoon, maybe there wasn't enough hormone to detect? It's still weird. My opinion is you are probably pregnant since you got 3 positives. That's a little hard to argue. The only thing you can really do it wait a week and go back if you haven't started your period, like she said. Good luck!

That happened to me. Same exact thing, 2 tests super super light positive result. i was a week late on my period too and really felt like i was pregnant (i have 2 kids) I was soooo excited and then i started to get light spotting, and finally a full period!! i was soooo sad!! I am almost sure it was maybe an early pregnancy loss, since any positive is indicating the presence of hcg. So maybe you will have better luck! I'd just give it a little more time and wait til you get your answer from the doc. they will know for sure.

Congrats! Sounds to me like you are pregnant. I had the same thing happen to me. It was so faint that we actually had to find better lighting and kept tipping it one way or another because it was SOOO faint that sometimes it looked as though it wasn't even there. There is the chance that it is a false positive but those are fairly rare. Congrats again!

you're pregnant! false positives are very rare. i took the HPT when i was 7 days late and i had a faint line like that. but it will be better for you to go to the doctor for blood test because it has most accurate than urine test. good luck!

Congrats you are pregnant my friends was like that took like six all very faint she finally went to the doctor and sure enough she was pregnant! Congrats! if you get morning sickness gingerale and saltine craker are great with helping your stomach good look!!!!!

yup, you are pregnant. every test i took (which was around 12 haha i had to be sure) all had a second faint line. congratulations!!!

SO Ild say that you should make a doctors appt. Because u did it!
