It's okay to feel insecure and redundant with someone you are close to. Everyone feels like that at some point in their lives and you’re not paranoid. You're afraid to be left behind and be forgotten about what you done for this person.
I'm sure you made wonderful memories with this person and that you two are good friends still. Even though her life gotten better doesn't mean she wants you to leave just like that for what you done. I, for one, am like that too and I always feel that once I get someone life better, my time was up and that I leave but when you think about it...your friend needs you more than you think.
Just remember that what memories you made with this person will always be the best memories to remember within your heart.

i knw what you mean, liek when they needed u, u were their best friend but now things are better...u are no longer in their life or not much of it anymore an dthey have put u on the side and it hurts and u hate it and u feel like you have been used and its not fair and it feels bad and u hate them now and blah blah...in life, we have all sorts of situations. if they need u again, say you're busy until they reaslise what and how much u mean to them. the appriciation and respect isnt there if u feel like that. would tat person be there for you if u were in that position? think liek that. if the answer is yes, then worth keeping. if not, then erm...they prob not worth it although i know the feeling. my mums been there done it and its not fair.

some Friends only call you when things are going difficult in their lives. I know it's very difficult and you wind up feeling used because they don't seem to need to share the happy times with you. Only the bad...
Real friends are there through thick and thin...

If the person is a real friend, they'll want you around for the good times too...if they just associated with you because they needed help, then they may appear to lose interest when their life turns around. If that's the case, they were never your friend to begin with.

Yes a friend still needs you but after crisis , the need is not so desperate or often and more pleasant things re-unite you , such as Christmas, Birthdays etc .

a real friend will always cherish your presence in his life both in good times and in bad times.
it is not the season that determines your value in the friendship but your availability.
