The techie term can mean music, electronic games, etc. Music is a form of media.

The political term means the ways through which information travels. This includes radio, the newspaper, the TV, and the press in general. The media is a way in which propaganda, lies, hyperbole, and disgustingly twisted information passes to unsuspecting citizens in order to warp their mind.
