I have a 1991 Accord Coupe right now. Its great but its getting too old and repairs are getting too frequent.

I can't decide what generation to get next. I don't want a brand new car... too expensive.

Now the 2002 Accord is the last of its generation (1998-2002)and all the bugs (I'm assuming) would be worked out by the 5th year. I also love the styling compared to the 2003-2007 generation.

On the other hand... a 2003-2004 Accord would have more features and would not cost much more than a 2002. But I have heard mixed opinions on the quality of this generation accord. Not the most popular generation. Plus, I don't like the exterier styling much compared to 2002 or even the new 2008 that just came out.

Owners of 2002 or 2003-2004 Accords... what can you tell me??

If you go with the 2003, it has a lot more options like you mentioned and a lot more power. This care really didn't have MANY bugs for a new car. If it did, they (PROBABLY 99%) have been fixed by the owner. I imo would go with the 2003. I'm not a fan on the rear on the 2002.

I think you've answered your own question--if you love the 2002, go with it. The price differences aren't that great on that age vehicle.

We have a 2003 V-6 coupe with navigation and leather with 70k and its been trouble free as you would expect from a Honda. It really is a personal decision and if you like the styling on the 2002 then don't buy something you might not want just because its newer.

hope that helps

I have a 2003 Accord with 110k miles on it, and it's had no major problems. It sounds like you want a 2002, so you should get one. That's if you don't mind having somewhat newer technology, and mabye a few more horsepower. Good luck!

We have a 2003 Accord purchased shortly after it came out (dumb, I know but the missus wants what she wants). Other than the brakes being a little grabby for the first few stops in the mornings, we have had zero problems with it.

It seems such as you already understand the respond so bypass with V6. You solid gas mileage yet yet you're asking this query. The V6 will nevertheless get solid gas mileage once you rigidity on long hauls. The 4 and six gets pertaining to to the comparable mileage interior the line so there won't be a huge distinction right here.
