Yes. And, I'm relying on my contacts to help me enforce the new rules. If you see me lollygagging around, you must stop me by asking, "How many pages did you finish last hour?"
I will then run back to WORD and continue writing.
This is all about that milk crate full of unfinished books in my closet.
I want to finish the first draft in one month. That will take ten pages a day. You know I can do it. I've done it here for six months.
Thanks for your help. Now you have something useful to report and someone sympathetic to report it to.
This is the only way I can allow myself to play…

The writing gigs I have now are very small. Monthly submissions. I get them done in a day. This is my first new book in years. The magazine I worked for went out of business last February.

Matter of fact I do have a new plan starting today. Every morning when I wake up I'm going to ask God to give me His favor. I'm going to ask Him to pour out blessings on me and my family. I've been under so much stress lately that I've had headaches and chest pains, so I'm done with that. I'm leaving it in God's hands, and I feel better already.

I'm also in the same boat with Stef. I'm putting a stop to all those stress, chest pains and endless crying. I'm getting more spiritual now and leave things for God to decide. I feel very calm and peaceful at heart now. No man or love has ever made me feel this way. God is great!
As a matter of fact, i also have to stop lollygagging and start reading up more novels and literary works as well as criticism. I need to prepare myself for next semester. A new start, a new outlook, a brand-new me.
As for you Richard...i'll keep an eye on you and ask for your progress from time to time...and remind you of the milk crate full of unfinished books in your closet...haha!
All the best to you...and to all of us here too!
Love to all ;-)

Hi TD, Yeah I have a lot of unfinished work, too. It's so much easier to do this than that. I keep putting things off, and then I want to kick myself.
I, for one, will get nothing done today...I need to go somewhere; several places...I'll be quite tired when I get back...then just sitting here is the easiest thing to do.
I actually thought you did your writing inbetween questions and answers, lol.....

Great answer and outlook, Stef. Yes TD, I do have a new plan, time for me to stop spending so much time here on Y!A for now. I have things that need attending to, like taking my yearly shower. I try to do it every year on November 1st, whether or not I need it. Running a few days behind, what can I say? LOL
Hey, quit lolly-gagging about reading my lame attempts at humor, and get cracking on your novel. And good luck, buddy. We are all pulling or you.

Please don't mention new plans. I am trying to quit smoking. Tomorrow, tomorrow.
Now get the hell out of here and get back to work and Word! I am going back there myself with my cup of coffee.
I hope to read something from you in a few weeks' time.
