Here's the skinny: Federal Law says you must be 18 to purchase .22lr ammunition, your local Wal-Mart says you have to be 21 for them to sell it to you. Some locations make you be 19 to buy tobacco (I don't smoke, but thought it odd the sign said 19). Is it legal for them to age-discriminate like this?
As I see it, they're denying my lawfully afforded ability to purchase ammunition (again, don't care about the tobacco, that was to show they do it in other areas of the store).

I figured it would fall under their right to not sell anything to anyone for any reason, but it doesn't hurt to ask. I'll take my ammo business elsewhere. They lost in excess of $600 dollars a year from me with that policy...
