Does anyone know what Metronomic Modulation is?

Interesting question, and difficult to answer. I seem to remember the term "Tempo Modulation" when studying the music of Elliot Carter. I found a link that you might find interesting.

Basically the technique is to use similar note values and then
superimpose subtle time signature shifts or tuplets so that they gradually become faster or slower. Interesting, but difficult to perform.
