Because a square box can be delivered to the pizza parlor opened flat, and stacked up efficiently. If they had round boxes, they'd be storing all the space inside them as well as the cardboard itself. They'd also be harder to make, and therefore cost more. I do wonder why it matters to you.

Square boxes are cheaper to make.
Only expensive chocolates come in round/fancy shaped boxes.

because it's harder to put together a round box from something that is flat. it's also harder to keep round pizza boxes stacked in a corner somewhere without the whole pile falling down on you.

don't you think it would be a little hard to put pizza in a circle box? let alone make a cicle box. its far easier to assemble a square box
