I was going to respond with: When the sacrifice to obey the law is a greater punishment than to obey.
That is until I read the rest..... All laws can be considered unpractical. A guy who likes to kill, for example, would consider the law against murder to be unpractical.
As far as Hillary goes? If she wants to break the law send her to jail for it like any other criminal, whether the law is "practical" or not!

Our ancestors came to this country trying to flee from a king and be their own nation, we are not Americans, we just came here and took over. The true Americans (Indians)were forced out most going to Mexico. True Mexicans are light skinned (not Irish) not dark like most of what we know as illegals. If you want to ***** and moan,do so about the leaders, get elected to work for the people, have the ability to vote yourself a raise and still work for (accept large sums of money and gifts from lobbyist) someone else. Not a bad gig. The illegals are not taking a job from anyone who wants to work, we are just lazy people. As for the practical laws I agree (I'm a police officer) with the seat belt being a choice if you over 18, you can ride a motorcycle in most states without a helmet let me choose if I desire to wear my seat belt. The system is not run for the propose of being practical, greed has over whelmed the nation. Do a way with all politicians with more than 6 years In office and go after corp. crime thats what hurts us all.

When your life is in danger. In many places, like NYC, it is almost impossible to get a permit to carry a hand gun. You carry one anyway. You have to use the gun to save the lives of your family and yourself. You broke the law, but spending some time in jail is a whole lot better than being dead.
The immigration laws in the US should be obeyed. There is no practical reason to ignore them.

Well without getting into foreign relations between two countries that i have no idea about, i'll just say this about a strange Australian law which I think is practicle to ignore.
Aparently it is illegal to *NOT* pull a weed out if you are able to, and if it is safe and practicle to do so. Seeing that most of the introduced plants (from England..grrrr) have become weeds, I am obliged to ripped out half of nature.....it's silly, but we have silly people in power!

if it's against their religion. Bible says laws of men aren't of God. It is not until man becomes aware of the law that he begins to break the law
The best answer to immigration I have heard thus far...annex Mexico. Someone in my state is already campaigning for it..I was behind this campaign truck for about four miles in rush hour traffic, when it hit me...WHY THE HELL NOT??? What is their to lose and not to gain???

no the speed limit is practical, it saves lives. and all harrassing illegals does is well, harass them. so thats not practical. come on people. they are human beings like us, just looking for a better life. give them a break. its not like they are really being a burden to us or taking our jobs etc. those are all myths. and they have yet to be proven, but idiot people here in america just love to believe whatever anyone tells us without getting the facts first. and if we document them, they have to pay taxes. give it a rest. they are here, so get over it
