I traveled to Melbourne from Perth alone I ran away from my friends it's not as fun without friends and I went broke while I was there I had to scam $500 to get back home.

I haven't done much of it. But I'm going to find out when I go to S.A. later this winter. I do know the group I went to Russia the first time with was the most gawd-awful bunch of bourgeoise, babbity, boring, bastahds I ever had to deal with. We ran from church to museum with never a glance at real post-soviet life. I finally slipped away and sat in a park drinking warm beer with some real Russkiys! It was the only fun afternoon I had.

I would always rather travel with a certain special someone. I was traveling alone recently, and I kept imagining her in the other seat with me. It made me happy but sad at the same time. :)

I do if it's a short trip. The three hour drive up to mom's house I like to do alone. But if it's a long one I'd rather have company.

it depends on where you go
a woman travelling alone might be too dangerous in some non European Countries
but i surely prefer being alone than with people who dont have the same way of thinking with me..

It depends to where I am traveling. If it's the bathroom, most definitely, there is nothing worse than an audience when you are trying to 'drop the kids off'.

Yes, oddly enough, I do sometimes. I can stop when I want (I usually drive), go see what I want, and so on. However, I like to travel with others too - just depends on the situation.

i don't think i'd have the guts to go abroad by myself for a holiday alone because it's nice to share those kind of experiences with people, but i don't mind walking or catching a train on my own, it's a good time for thinking and i like reading on the train.
