I would be happy for them... I dont know why people are so stupid and cant accpect people who are different from them. I wouldnt want to live in a world were every one was exactly alike... with out gay guys the world would be boring.

Just sit back and see how long they will actually last before someone else in the family makes them feel guilty. In my family this seems to happen alot. I had 3 other female cousins who where saying they where gay. Now one is married and the other is planning her wedding. One has even went as far as to become an evangelist.

I'd be like, "okay family, money in! I win the bet!" Kidding!

I'd probably just say, "I already knew, just waited for you to tell me." and then hug whomever it is. Being gay doesn't change the person, them admitting to themselves who they are, should make them happier as a person though. Then I'd just try to be there for whomever if they needed me. As I've been there and done it before...

Well my little brother is bi, I was the first person he came to which I am very proud of, I simple told him that it was perfectly fine and that there was nothing to be ashamed of. I told him of my beliefs that sexual preference is decided by genetics and not by choice. I gave the usual advice of always wearing a condom during sex no matter what and to keep his sexuality to himself at school because people are not so understanding as I am. I told him to tell the people he trusts when he is ready and to have relationships with other boys when he is ready.

I'd be thrilled! First, I'd be very happy that they trusted me enough to tell me, that they knew I wasn't going to throw some kind of "god" crap in their face, or disown them. Second, that they were able to come to such a conclusion rather than to live in some horrible closet like a televangelist preacher. Third, I'd be thrilled to know my sibling was willing to walk their own road, and make their own decisions, rather than to bow to the presumed pressures of others around them.

This would be a GREAT thing to have happen in any family.

Only one???

Seriously, where there's one, there's bound to be more.
I know I can't be the ONLY one! Heck, I've been suspicious of my uncle for years...oh and I do have one gay cousin!! We're very close!

I wouldn't do anything differently. They're still my family and I still love them.

I would be supportive of them! I'm gay myself, so I wouldn't hold anything against one of my family members. I'm not the type that judges people based on their sexual orientation. ;)
