If you can find one, pick up a copy of Writer's Digest at a magazine rack. Inside are articles by publishers, editors and well established writers of all genres. In the ads in the back of the magazine are places to go in search of publishers for future books. Another magazine to check out is Realms of Fantasy, in their ads they list many new publishers for the different books being written. But Writer's Digest is considered to be the 'Bible' for new and established writers the world over.

Along with the magazine, Writer's Digest, consider getting the current Writer's Market guide that is found in your local library or bookstore. Within are hundreds of agencies and publishing houses, but not all will accept your genre.

Choose carefully your selection and follow the submission guidelines exactly.
