C.F. P. IVA or C.F. P.IVA is a phrase that I found only in Italian documents. P.IVA is the acronym for the Italian words for Value Added Tax, which is better known as VAT, an acronym for the English words. I do not know what C.F. means in this context.

Alternatively, CFP: IVA'07 is the 7th International Conference on Intelligent Virtual Agents

Hi,
C.F. (Or CF) stands as abbreviation of Codice Fiscale that would be an ID number for people paying taxes in italy.
Now, it is very funny how this number is determined, in theory you could easily find out yours, but would not be valid if not registered at the Registro dei contribuenti, the Tax register.
Eg C.F. Numero MRIRSS70P19H501E
This could be easily correct for Mr Mario Rossi born in 1970, P19 means September the 19th, 501 means male (female is 502), last letter is random. There is no reason why September is P, it is just like that.
Mese Lettera
Gennaio A
Febbraio B
Marzo C
Aprile D
Maggio E
Giugno H
Luglio L
Agosto M
Settembre P
Ottobre R
Novembre S
Dicembre T

P.IVA stands for Partita IVA ( Imposta Valore Aggiunto) that you would need if you intend to sell goods or services, same as Vat as someone already said.

P.IVA is a working policy applied in Italy for governmental tax contributions.

what is it? P.IVA = translated as "VAT no." contains 11 digit nos. (identification no. for a self-employed individual or a company)

what ist it for? It is obligatory for self-employed workers and companies to have, to be able to issue invoices. Except for those who has an annual income revenue equal or below "€5,000.00".

there are two types of P.IVA:
- for individuals
- for companies

there are also different types regarding the activity/work one has to offer.

C.F. = stands for "Codice Fiscale" = which means a "fiscal code". It is given to every citizen/residents in Italy another form/type of I.D.

When an individual opens up a P.IVA, the person's C.F. could be used as an alternative for identifications.

Hope this helps. For further information it is best to ask a professional preferably a "Commercialista" (=italian business consultant).
