I pack the kid's lunches. They attend a public charter school and do not have a cafeteria there to buy food.
I like to put stickers on their sandwich bags or leave notes for them too.

From day one both of my girls have been with the School Lunch program. It is a social event at school and they did not want to stand out as non conformance. Through the years they tried at various times to break the routine but it was always the school lunch program that prevailed.

All through school I packed my kids lunches. Even high school when fast food was brought in. I just told my kids when we went to the store they could have anything they wanted for lunch. That saved me a ton of money. The didn't have that much time for lunch and didn't want to waste it in line waiting for crappy food.

I usually packed their lunches also, and wrote little notes on their napkin. :) They did eat the school lunches when what they were serving was 'good' (per se ha) and I would come join them for that lunch.
this was more years ago than I think I would like to admit....although I can't wait to start joining my grandson (& granddaughter to be) at their lunches!

When my oldest child was in school, I would make her lunch and about once a week, as a treat, she would buy it.
I'll do the same with my son, when he's old enough to start school....I like the idea with the notes, I think I'm going to start doing that for him.
Cheers!

Who wouldn't want a note from you! One eats at school and the other comes home for lunch.

Both... I mostly pack their lunches. But once in a while they eat school lunch. The little one has to eat at preschool. *it has to follow nutritional guidelines for the state*.
Good morning beautiful!

They eat school lunches. I am known to make the occasional breakfast that didn't come from a box or toaster. Brewing coffee and opening my eyes is the only real goal in the morning.

I'm in school, but i bring my own lunch. The school lunches (at my school anyway) are greasy, not fresh, and VERY unhealthy (ON MONDAYS WE HAVE 2 SLICES OF PIZZA WITH A MINI APPLE PIE!!!!) And even worse, my school will do this-lets say...its Tuesday, chicken nuggets. They buy like, 10 pounds of it, and then save the UNEATEN ONES FOR NEXT TUESDAY! THATS DISGUSTING! So yeah, i pack my own lunch which is-Ham sandwich
-water, juice
-yogurt
-apple
