Hey.

Look to set it straight I AM going to the doctor about it tomorrow

But I was curious if people are uncomfortable talking to their doc about those sort of things. Such as I have to go to doc for first time to sort out some sort of vaginal infection.

Lol.. How exactly do you word that?

:)

I am very comfortable with talking to my doctor about this stuff now but when I was younger I was a bit nervous. It's understandable to be a bit nervous especially since this is the first time that you will be addressing this issue.

You could just let the doctor know that you are having sme symptoms in your private area that you would like to have them check out.

If the doctor is really good they will do everything they can to help you relax and explain what they are doing as they do it.

Don't worry you are not alone, its awful having to go ask about personal stuff but it is there job and it is what they are there for and you won't be the first to go in and go bright red and stumble over how to say it! Well done with being brave enough to go though, that's the biggest step! Just take a deep breath and keep telling yourself its just their job. Good luck!

I'm afraid that's the only way you can say it, unless you want to say "problem down there" or something... Yeah the whole thing is uncomfortable but it's something you've gotta do. It's normal to get a bit stressed about it, LOL. Good luck.

Yes,l guess most of us can relate to what you are saying. We tend to get a bit worked up sitting in the waiting room. But as far as the doctor is concerned, thats what they are trained for. They won't bat an eyelid. And as how to word your problem, exactly how you just put it to us.

Oh corse I felt a bit shy at first but you can get used to it. The more litely you take it the better your relationship will be with your gyn....Which is a really good thing.

If I am in a bind my gyn will treat me for a cold.

now isn't he nice.
