My girl and I have been together for over 12 months. We met in my country, but she has been back in hers for most of our relationship. Thanks to yahoo, we have maintained contact and our affection has strengthened. She was intending to come back here for Christmas (neither of us have parents, we just have each other). Trouble is this. we are both stubborn and headstrong. We both love each other, but we also love getting our own way. I cool down quickly, she may stay angry for longer. We have had a couple of bad arguments, all on yahoo. This is not a good idea, because we can not see the pain that we are causing each other, and things get out of control. We argued Saturday night, it lasted 10 hours (including toilet breaks etc ;) ) and now I have calmed down, but she says it is over. she wants to remain friends, but I think of how good it has been, and I know that she has feelings for me. I should send flowers, but maybe I should wait? How long? and how can we avoid these fights?

wow i thought you were my friend up until the "no parents" part. so a friend of mine is in the exact same situation. i say just send the flowers. she'll get over it. it is just really hard, for girls especially, to have long distance relationships. you forget about all the good stuff that went on when you were together in person not online. so maybe plan a visit to her. but make sure you are back together before you spend money on a nonrefundable ticket. good luck!

You can't, everyone has disagreements. This is how you learn what the other people thinks. Sometimes it brings out good, and other times it makes a person think if this is the right person to be with. If you really are sorry, tell her, but if you believe what you where argueing about is right, then you have to stand by that. This might be something that she does not like, but that is who you are.
