sorry, wasn't brave enough when I lived in Yokosuka. did have Habu sake though. and some people think the worm is bad....
you'd better check with the base.. it may be against regs to eat it!.

I have, and it's quite good.
Trouble is, I've never had it in Okinawa...it's always been in mainland.
There used to be couple of very good sushi/sashimi places within walking distance of Gate 2, but that was a while back. I'm sure things have changed.
I'll agree with asking someone who's been there a while, but heck, this is good enough reason to make new friends.

I have eaten it and it's delicious--both raw and cooked. But unfortuntately I have never been to Okinawa. Ask a Japanese friend.
