Probably hundreds of thousands of people of Asian origin live in Australia. Many migrants have come from western Asia, particularly Lebanon and Turkey and there are Syrians, Jordanians, Iraqis, Armenians, Iranians, Israelis, Saudis etc before you move east to take in migrants from Afghanistan, India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka. To the north, there are plenty of people from the old USSR and Chinese people have been in Australia since the early days. There were a great many Chinese came with the gold rushes of the 1850s. More recently we have had migrants from Vietnam, Laos, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, Hong Kong and more from China.
Australia is a multicultural society with people from all over the world and probably every country in Asia.
