To me, "haunted" has a negative vibe. I don't think "ghosts", if they are real, are bad. But "haunted" makes me think of someone or something tormenting people in a specific location. I would probably be too chicken to go someplace that was said to be "haunted"; but I would be curious if someone said they had seen a ghost.

Well if you see a ghost in a place....then that place is haunted. It would depend if that ghost is just passing through or is in this place a lot.

If the ghost is on a bicycle then he is just passing through and it is not haunted, but if the ghost looks like he lives there, then it is haunted.

the ghost may be considered a personal apparition exclusive to an individual, & a haunting is a ghost or ghost(s) in an area
also a single siting could be the one who just recently passed away & came in spirit to say good by!

one is being taken in with the eyes, the other is by either hearing or sensing.
seeing a ghost doesn't make a place haunted always either.

seeing a ghost in a place thats not haunted would more likely be realer, if you saw a ghost in a place said to be haunted ur brain would be more likely to play tricks on you and you would be more likely to scare yourself into thinking you saw something.

LOOK...in the first case u have actually sensed the presence of the ghost....well i call any one whom i hate as a ghost...so i have caught a sight of plenty of them..hahaha..
and yes the second one would go like....just heard of a rumor!!
i mean sensing and predictions are 2 different concepts....
gr8 difference ,isnt it..!!
pretty much convincing..
