IMO
Guys who show their emotions are stronger then those who don't, or feel they have to hide them. Showing emotions does not make you weak. Everyone breaks down at some point in life~ (unless you live your life in a fairytale) it's a healthy release. Societies outlook that men need to be strong all the time is bs. No wonder the suicide rate in young men is so high.

Well because they grow up in a society that shames masculine crying.
"Big boys don't cry!"
"You sissy! Wahhh baby gonna cry?"
"Suck it up!"
"You want to be a man then act like one! Stop crying!"
"Boo hoo!"
"Stop your blubbering!"
"You make me sick!"
"Real men don't cry!"
etc.
Dads and other men and even women and kids....brainwash them into believing that to be a real man, you must NEVER EVER cry. If you do, you are just a sissy, gay, loser, baby, whiner, blubberer, etc. You are NOT a man if you cry.
These men are shamed and humiliated when they cry so they learn to not cry and in turn teach others that it is wrong to cry out of the pain they were caused.
So guys CRYING is NOT a sign of weakness. It shows you care and are loving and concerned about others. Go ahead and CRY.
The real weaklings are those emotional abusers who told you it was wrong. God made BOTH genders with tear ducts. It does NOT make you any less male. In fact it makes you MORE of a real man cause REAL men cry.

Unfortunately, men are taught when they are young that the only emotion they should show is anger. Personally, as I grew older and went from one relationship to another, I found that women really like it when a man can show more feelings than anger. I find it very satisfying to show women that I have feelings and they seem to always react positively.

im the only male in the household and i was told to bottle my emotions and later discard them. no room for emotional weakness bc someone needs to stay strong
