Are we basically ensuring the extinction of our species with our cavalier attitude about the environment? *I mean we're doing too little too late and patting ourselves on the back about it.*

Trolldude, I'm paying attention to science, not the "liberal" media. All scientific data points to RAPID climate change. Yes, such occurences have happened in the past but not neccesarily on the same scale. And anyway, so what if it is natural? Mass extinctions have happened from natural occurences in the past. We aren't talking about Kracatoa, this is much more severe. I'm also considering the exponential growth of the human population into the equation as well. And if you don't think that's a problem you and Rush need to double up on your oxycotin!

The Great Barrier Reef is oh.. about 200 Million years old. (to get that size).. it's dying rapidly. Coral relies on being located at no greater than a particular depth and at a relatively stable temperature. You don't need scientific evidence when you can just go for a swim and see the results of climate change.

I'm worried sick about it.

You have been paying way too much attention to liberals. Countries like China and Russia are really messing up their rivers and the land but the fact is, here in the US things are a lot better than they were. There are more forests now because of the way we manage them. People and animals are healthier, Our rivers are cleaner than just a few years ago. When I was in school our science teachers were telling us the world was going to become frozen over and into an ice age due to volcanoes and the sprays we used in our hair and arm pits and our cars

They were wrong then and are wrong now. The world changes all on it's own and has done so since the world began. Just hang in there for the ride and take care of yourself and family. That is what you really need to worry about. Volunteer to help people and animals that can really use your help.

The news would be out of business if they didn't try to scare the heck out of people all the time.

Getting anxious about it does nothing but paralyze you

I'm scared for the future of humanity too and trust me, I'm trying to do what I can to save the world, but if only people stop talking from their @ss and start making a difference can we only strive to survive
