I live in the middle east and I have never seen anyone smoking hookah in their house. Either they go to some coffee house or they smoke outside. I would think that over time it will cause the walls, carpets and curtains to turn yellow..

It's still tobacco so I would guess that it will. However it's processed very differently than cigarettes so it might do it slower. If you are in a room that you don't own like an apartment or a dormitory I would advise against it.

I'm sure that you won't believe this, but I grew up in the sixties, never used drugs of any kind, so before I can answer your question you will have to explain something to me, whats a caterpillar?

Burning anything in your home will leave residue on the surfaces. Even candles will cause things to look dingy after a while.
