There's a family of birds named Bee-eaters.

Another immensely interesting family of birds is the group known as Honeyguides.

If I hadn't seen a documentary about honeyguides on the Discovery channel, I would have accused anyone telling me about them of, um, telling seriously tall tales.

There is a wasp in the US known as the "cicada killer" which eats (you guessed it) cicadas. Also the sowbug killer which is a type of spider, and sowbugs are those little roly-poly bugs. THere is also a spider called the tarantula hawk that eats tarantulas in desert and arid regions. There is an insect known as a bee assassin and is predatory of other insects, including bees. Also there is a large spider known as a fishing spider that is able to live in or around water that eats fish as well as other insects and small organisms.
