well, i guess i'll find out since cancer runs in my family. all four grandparents died of it, as did my mother, and my father has it, so.....

to answer the question, i'm already resigned to the fact i will get it at some time in my life, so i'll fight it at first, and then probably say screw it and have fun with the time i have left.

People really dont know what they would do untill your really in the situation but if you want us to suppose, then your going to hear alot of bs about doing the right thing, blah blah blah.

Based on the type of cancer, the survivability rate and you ability to pay for all of the treatment I would use that information to decide. I think people also need to respect life and death. If you choose not to do anything about it, if you are choosing to die then they need to leave you alone and give you comfort care. Hospice would be the people to talk to about this. I would say that if you are strong and have people who love and need you then you owe it to your loved ones to give it a shot. Then go into the hospital with comfort care and die if you are too tired. That is just my opinion and being that YOU would be the one with the issues, your opinion is the only one that matters when it comes right down to it. Oh, and get your affairs in order, nobody likes to have people fighting over thier money/belongings before they are gone and families can be destroyed by not making it clear who you want to inherit item A or B...sounds crazy but true. Take Care hun.-Rachel.

Depends on many factors. If it was terminal then I wouldn't bother having the treatment as it is debilitating, but instead would do all the things I wanted to and spend what time I had left having fun with my husband and family. If it was curable then I would fight it every inch of the way so that I could have several more years left to do what I wanted to do.

Well. if I had any money -I'd do the fun stuff like go to Lapland and Iceland and up the London Eye. I'd then make sure all the kids/grandkids had what they want and then I would see what avenues were open for me because the inevitable will happen but I know that ,whatever, I would die happy

Use the money and have the time of your life. After that if you still want to live just run all the bills on a credit card, therefore you survive and all you have to do is pay the debt.

well, i wouldn't tell anybody so they wouldn't worry. As for money.... well, i would go to the doctor and try to get treatment for it, and fight it, but at the same time, i would just be glad that i was going to die soon, as i'm tired. But i would be worried about my family. I want to be able to leave them something so that they are well taken care of in life, and also, so that my funeral is covered. I would not want to die, and have nothing to leave them.

I have something very close to cancer;
and I just don't let it control my life [=
When the time comes, it just comes ^__^ I neither fight it, or go along with it <3 It shouldn't effect my life...it's the way I chose to live it!

Try to fight it, but if it's hopeless then I'd just spend my money on fun things and enjoy my last days on earth.

I have it for the third time, slow growing brain tumor. Waiting to be called down the road to a well known clinic to be taken care of this time, rather than the hospital I had it taken care of the last two times.
Fight it, don't stop.
