Offering to carry 3 small bags of groceries out to the car for me...grrr. Or, that I can't turn on a computer, let alone use one proficiently. That my 2 seater 5 speed convertible sports car is too hard for me to drive...!!
What's annoys you?

Well, every time I go to this one grocery store, the check-out person asks me "do you need help getting anything out of your basket?" !!! (I put the stuff IN the basket, I ought to be able to put it on the check-out counter!)
I get them back, though. Each time I am asked that, I say, "No thank you, but would you mind finding someone that can come home with me and put the groceries up for me?"
Tee hee!

actually, the grocery store that i go to is a full service grocery store and i expect them to carry my groceries out for me. i pay the higher price for that service and i expect to be given what i pay for. now if i only have 1 or 2 bags that don't weigh a ton, then i'll tell them i don't need help and do it on my own.
as far as the computer thing, i'm fairly new at this and it really irks me when i ask my son to teach me how to do something and he gets all up in arms about it and just does it rather than showing me how to do it - how can i learn if he won't take the time to show me? taking classes really isn't an option, since our closest community college is almost an hour away and tuition is through the roof, much less workbooks etc that are needed.

I have a newer younger female supervisor at work. They have recently added to the responsibilities of my job in the factory, so I now have to use a computer also. My new supervisor said she would get someone to help train me to understand how to log on and look parts up.I know she thought I had no knowledge since I am one of the older ones on night shift.

Ha! Ha! I have not heard that expression "Geezer syndrome" for many years. Not since I lived in England. We have geezers in the USA but I do not know how to describe them.
Anyway - they annoy me as follows: When I go to the beauty shop - he asks me how I want my hair. I tell him EXACTLY how I want it. Then this geezer says he thinks it would be better if - - - !!! We have one at the local library. Every time I go in he says "I've checked your list and nothings come in for you" - Well that's b/c I did not order anything! Duh! My brain has freezer burn right now! Will think of more - I know I will.

Def: Geezer -- nasty elder lech or lechette. I enjoy being a geezer, but I'm not too partial to becoming a wheezer.

The grocery store thing used to annoy me, until I noticed they have been trained to ask ALL customers the same thing.

I don't mind people offering to help me with physical things, but I find it hilarous when folks think they need to "help" me with a computer. I used to work for AOL helping people with their computers. I didn't forget everything I knew when I turned 60. LOL

I hate the assumption that we're considered old geezers and ladies when we drive......like we're naturally old farts that are going to hold everyone up!
