When will the world end?

You know this is an interesting question indeed. According to Isaac newton the world will end in 2060. Apparently he had read the whole bible and worked out through that the world will end in 2060. DOnt know how but i believe that. But that just raises more questions. Will we go to outer space? Will the human race be anihallated in the process? hope i helped you.

well, there are a lot of things that will destroy us. And I will try to say them all, starting from the last one (the thing that is most unlikely to destroy us, because is a long log time till that comes).
1. The huge black hole in the center of our galaxy will devore every thing in this galaxy..but this will happen in a very very very long time...donno, bilions of years.
2. The Sun will eventually run out of gas, and this will happen in about 5 bilion years. This will also destroy our planet.
3. An asteroid or a big comet that might crash on Earth is very likely to destroy all living beings.
4. In various religions and cults or something like that, it is said that the end of the world is in 2012, or i donno...but we cannot really believe that, because it was also said i don't know were that Jesus will come at the begining of the third millenium, and i didn't saw Jesus in 2000:))
5. Soon we will have to survive to an Ice Age, because of the pollution. I think you've also seen the effects that global warming are.
6. The most likely thing that will destroy us is...US (not united states, sorry:)) )We have already everything we need to destroy a planet, and much more. So, i can't tell you exactly when the world will end, because this only depends on when we will be struck by an asteroid or when koreea or any other country will blow a ******' bomb over our heads.

The Sun is slowly warming up and in a billion years or so will have increased in temperature to the point that the surface of the Earth will no longer be able to sustain life as we know it. This will occur a few billion years BEFORE the Sun enters the red giant phase. If that's what you mean, then the world ends in a billion years or so. Otherwise, it really never does; the Earth will physically survive the Sun's red giant phase (although with no remaining surface water or atmosphere) and will probably endure as a lifeless rock well into the Sun's white dwarf phase.

Millions of years from now, the Sun will enter the last stages of it's life cycle. It will swell to several times it's current size, engulfing the inner planets, and burning off the atmosphere of Earth. It is also quite likely the Earth either be engulfed as well, or it's orbit will decay inot the Sun.
This will happen, unless by that point we have achieved a level of technology t prevent it. Personally, I think we will have killed ourselves off long before then.
