I plan meals that I look forward to at home so that a drive thru is not attractive. I pack a lunch and snacks for work that again I look forward to and are healthy. If I am in a situation where I am eating fast food or restaurant I plan exactly what I am going to eat, example a grilled chicken salad, or $1 mcchicken and side salad. If I don't trust myself I give my order to my husband and go find the table! lol
Avoid pop both diet and regular. Rasberry tea is wonderful but contains LOTS of sugar. If I am going to have a FF attack I have three or four from my husbands fries and then move them out of reach. My man is such a sweetie, he understands and is more than willing to do anything he can to help me, but he says I am loosing weight for me not for him. :)
I don't keep my favorite junk foods in the house, any snacks are healthy ones like fruit and carrots, stuff like that - or things my husband likes and I don't for example something with coconut in....I won't go near it! lol
And the horrible exercise. My job is pretty much a sitting job, so I am really trying to keep moving in the evenings and weekends. Walking is best for me. Good luck and don't give up - if you slide off the diet treadmill get right back on!!

I love fast food, especially the drive thru window. But I always have to watch my weight and pocketbook. What I do is limit my trips to McDonald's, Taco Bell, etc. to ONCE A WEEK. And just order ONE thing from the dollar menu, or a bean burrito at Taco Bell. That way I don't feel totally deprived. I admit, depending on what my schedule is like I sometimes go more than once a week, but not often. And during Lent I don't go at all

Just think about the crap that's in there. A big Mac has some seriously low-grade beef in it.

The healthiest place to eat is actually a steakhouse. A steak is lean meat and protein, get some steamed or grilled vegetables or a salad, and go easy on the butter/sour cream on the baked potato. (Salsa to top a baked potato is tasty and adds virtually no calories)

Diet alone won't do it, have to exercise some too.

I think if that as soon as you say you are not going to have something, you want it even more!

Allow yourself the junk food every now and then but make some small changes. Oneof the biggest for me when I joined weight watchers was that I would get myself a KIDS meal. That way I was getting the taste and saving on points/calories.

Choose diet coke or water (not shakes) for your drink .

I love junk food so it is hard :)

Well, for me the only time fast food is tempting is when I am short on time/money. I think that the easiest way to avoid the "fast food" trap is by planning well. Before you go to bed each night, have your meals for the next day all planned out; Know that for breakfast you are going to make a smoothie and a bowl of oatmeal. For lunch you plan on a can of soup and crackers and cheese, with a piece of fruit. Everything but the cheese could be put in your lunch bag, ready to go. Have the cheese cut up and in a baggie in the fridge. I always keep a high end can of soup in my desk in case I forget my lunch. It is just a can of soup but it is really good soup so I look forward to it. At 3.50 a can it is rather expensive, but a lot cheaper than going to a fast food place for even a value meal at 5.60 or whatever. I always have crackers, nuts and or dried fruit as a "nibbler" kind of snack in my desk as well. I suggest having all your meals planned out- you know what you are having each night and what you need to do to prepare them. (example- tomorrows dinner is stirfry. Have all the vegetable cut up and wrapped in fridge. Have meat cut up and marinating. Have pots/pans you need set out on stove. When you get home you measrue out rice and water. Get it cooking. Get out meat and veggies and stir fry them. Rice should be ready by time meat and veggies are. Dinner is ready in under 30 minutes. Check out Rachel Rays 30 minute dinner cookbook.) I think it is also a good idea to have something prefabricated such as a frozen lasagna, fish sticks etc. in the freezer already cooked that you just have to heat up. Somedays you are just going to be too busy or not feel like cooking. If you plan out what you want to eat before you go to grocery store, buy just those items ignoring the junk in the store and then have things prepped and ready for the morning you will find it saves MAJOR amounts of money, time and MAJOR calories and fat grams.
Another plus to packing your lunch or having dinner prepped is you made it ,so you know what is in it. You would proabaly be appalled at the amount of "junk" fast food places put into their products. Did you know that when McDonalds says they only use 100% beef, it includes all parts of the cow (i.e. not just meat parts)? Also, I got an email last week from a Texas cattle producer who said McDonalds refuses to buy US produced beef (which is safer due to US government enforced restrictions and inspections) and they purchase there "beef" from where ever they can get it cheaply. This is a big deal. As you know much, beef has been recalled here in the states due to e-coli bacteria etc. The US is strict with its regulations Can you fathom the level of contamination beef from Korea, China etc.? If you are not big on cooking, there are centers now where for a reasonable fee you can get dinners put together that you just have to bake/reheat. Hope this helps.

I would suggest working out regularly and limit your portion size (when you are eating at home). When you start to see that this causes weight loss, you won't be AS tempted to eat out at fast food restaurants because you WORKED SO HARD to achieve your results. Worked for me!!! Remember diets don't work...its a LIFESTYLE change. Good luck!

Have healthy snacks in your car...think of how bad it all is for you. You have to re-program yourself...think of the new you you're going to achieve!! :)

Also--you can go there...just do your research first...IE: Have a Yogurt Parfait & a 4 piece nugget--know your calorie intake...I never exceed 500 calories in one setting. That way I can have a few 100 calorie snacks during the day too. :))

I used to eat a lot of fast food, but then I just decided one day that I should stop. They put a lot of demonic **** in fast food--and it's horrible for your body. So I just stopped eating it, and I've stayed away since.
