Overall, simple yet attractive design.
I do not like the headline design. Very hard to read and doesnt match the style of the rest of the page. Fix this problem and you'll be good!
Also, the menu bar color seems to be different from the other colors. If you intended it to be different make it more obvious, use a complementary color, lighten it, darken it, make it the same... right now it looks like a mistake....

I liked it very much, the whole style, except for when you have the storefront image close down over the other image like a garage door. That doesn't work for some reason. Also, That coral - sage - lemon color scheme is choice. BUT, if you could superimpose a tint of the lemon variety over the entire interior scenes and especially the storefron exterior scene it would visually bring it together better. The corals are lush. Hypothetically, the sage and lemon should work well. But, there's this oozy smoothness that emanates from the coral as its energy signature . . .and, on the otherhand, contrasting a bit uncomfortably with the eye, is a brittle tightness that the interior colors and outdoor light of the exterior storefront shot project. Superimposing a hint of lemon over the internal scene would make those elements jive better with the energy signature of that truly gorgeous coral.

Very stylish site! I loved the fact that it quickly loaded the name of the site and site-options on the right.

Suggestions: the paragraph about the function of the site is hard to read and not tightly/clearly written. It may be visually more powerful and, therefore, more effective to list the site functions as individual 'bullets' such as:

This site offers the following services:

1) It is a visual 'doorway' for professionals to keep them informed about local beauty industry developments.

2) Low cost employment opportunity advertising with photograph options.

3) Free entry of your events in our 'calendar of events'.

4) etc.

Last suggestion. Offer an opportunity to sign-up for free emails about important industry events, industry developments, new techniques, new products, business success stories, etc. Then send meaningful/useful emails every week to keep your site in the customer's mind!
