It's almost 2 months away. Wait at least until Thanksgiving is over!
What do you think?

Okay, I don't really get "MAD" when I see it, more like ticked off.
I absolutly love Christmas, I look forward to it the day after it's over. But I just wish they would wait until at least November 25. That would leave us one WHOLE month to get stuff ready and bought.
Christmas shouldn't be about buying things anyway.

youre question and answer was exactly what i think. i work at walmart and was disgusted to see them have huge lit up christmas trees at the entrances the day after halloween. i think the same way. wait until thanksgiving is over to even start putting up christmas decorations. but it is there greed to try to sell. i still live by the rules i was taught as a child. it is only acceptable to put up christmas decorations at the beginning of december at the earliest. and it is most acceptable to set up a christmas tree between the 11th to the 14th of december. and it is fine to keep them up until new years eve. but the christmas decorations and lights still up after january 1st is wrong. im not religious but that is what i was taught as proper etiquette for holidays. who wants to see a christmas tree all lit up while having a thanksgiving dinner. thankfully i had parents and grandparents that were somewhat strict. i get mad at alot of things i see. whining spoiled brats so the mother buys them a candy bar just to shut them up. i would have got beat for throwing a fit like that. im really happy my parents spanked me and gave me a beating when i misbehaved. i get disgusted to see the huge fat hogs on welfare to spend the grocery money on candy bars and pop. that is our taxes to buy chocolate and soda for a person that is too lazy to work. they should get a bag of potatoes and some flour and milk, eggs. and learn how to cook instead of sit on there fat asses and ***** about how they dont get enough.

I don't get "mad" but it makes me think that people are a little too obsessed with Christmas. It seems as if all the advertisements on Christmas are way too soon.. and I'm still trying to finish up on my Halloween candy.. haha, I would wait until a week before Thanksgiving.. that would give me time to buy some decorations before I get trampled on the day after Thanksgiving..

Omigod, I love your avatar and your username, Soup Nazi! I loved that episode of Seinfeld!
Okay butt-kissing is over...and yes, I totally agree with you! They rush the whole holiday season, and by the time the holidays do come around, you're sick of the whole spectacle already! And yes, Christmas should not be about buying things. But that whole concept has been twisted to such an ugly, capitalist...
Ok, I'm done...*steps off her soapbox*

No I do not get mad, just plan out disgusted. I have seen the decorations out since Halloween. It use to be that way, coming out after Thanksgiving. But it is the almighty dollar that the stores are bucking for, and so that is why they are on the shelves earlier. I think we should should go back to the old ways, life is easier that way.

Just another way for department stores to make money.
I don't like it, but I guess the earlier Christmas stuff comes out the more money it generates, and store owners have caught on....

I don't get MAD persay, but it bugs me. The day after halloween they start putting Christmas up, completely skipping over Thanksgiving. But I guess it does help to get you into the mood and get your shopping done early!

It just makes kids hyperer and everyone else more rushy. They really could wait until a day before Thanksgiving at the very least.

I agree - the mall near me already has the whole Santa photo display up and everything!! They put it up earlier every year and it's getting to the point where I'm sick of Christmas by the time it gets here.
