The moon rotates with respect to the sun in about 27.3 Earth days, so daytime lasts about 2 weeks and nighttime lasts about 2 weeks.

And all Apollo missions did take photos of the far side of the moon when that side was in sunlight, but the missions were timed so that they were on the near side of the moon during daytime there, so the far side of the moon would have been in night most of the time they were in orbit.
Remember, they only orbited the moon once or twice in preparation for landing and that would have taken only a day or so.

Do some research. Seriously. Don't ask why they didn't get any pictures, ask IF they got pictures. You'll get a much more favourable response. All the Apollo missions took pictures of the lunar surface totalling literally thousands of images covering almost the entire surface. On top of that, the Lunar Orbiter satellites preceding Apollo mapped the entire moon in unprecedented detail. However, since the lunar day is 28 earth days, roughly, and no Apollo mission was in orbit longer than a week, no one mission could photograph the entire moon.

So, there ARE pictures of the lunar surface taken by Apollo.

There were plenty of photographs taken of the other side of the Moon. When we see a full Moon the other side is dark. When we see just a small portion of it lit, the other side is almost fully lit. When they chose the landing dates they were not ever when the Moon was full because the temperature of the surface would have been at the max. A landing made when the sunlight was hitting the surface at an angle caused shadows that helped with depth perception during landings, and the surface temperatures were milder then it would have been if the Moon was fully lit.

What are you on about mate? There isnt light on both sides of the moon. Havent you heard the song by PINK FLOYD - The Dark Side Of The Moon. That song is based on a fact that only one side of the moon does not recieve light and only one side does. Have a good day.
