No, he won't skip the ceremony when he is inducted. Every baseball player, from the time they are six years old dreams of being in Cooperstown. He'll be there.
And I say when, not if, because he will get in. I am not a Barry Bonds fan. I really can't stand the guy both for his me-first attitude and for the "alleged" steroids, which anyone who looks at a pic of him in a Pirates uniform next to one in a Giants uniform will see that it is obvious. But, he will get in. Probably not on the first ballot. The voters are going to punish all the steroid-era sluggers by not voting them in for a few tries. The sad part is, Bonds would be a Hall-of-Famer without the steroids. Sure the steroids added the strength to carry some balls over the fence that may not have gone, so instead of going on 800 homers, let's say he hits 600. That's still Hall-of-Fame worthy. And they don't help a player put the bat on the ball. He hit .300 or better - some seasons, well in excess of .300 - almost every season of his career.
He'll get in. It'll take a few years. And he'll make it to the ceremony.

WHEN he is elected in roughly 6 years (first ballot); he will show up, make a short speech and then fade away from the game, he will never be a ambassador of the Hall like many have been before him but he will show up on induction day and get everything settled, the Hall will not display a ball that is branded and may not even accept it. Since he has never been convicted the HOF will not exclude him.

If he is found not guilty of perjury or steroid use, and if the HOF accepts the ball with an asterick, which the only option is to accept it or not due to the fact the current owner is the one who wants to do it, they will put it in the closet, and Barry will show up after a first ballot election and give a nice speech thanking everyone and dissing all his doubter. seeing in five or six yrs this should be all sorted out. If he is found guilty of steroid use and perjury, he will still get in though it wont be first ballot and he may have to be a little bit more reconcilliatory on his speech...and the HOF may just leave that ball in a closet.

He wil make it, unless it gets provenbeyond a shadow of a doubt that he KNOWINGLY used steroids.

Honestly, I am not hopping on the "Hate Barry" bandwagon. Why? It's a little thing in this country we have called "Innocent until proven guilty" If he had been proven guilty of of anything, he wouldnt still be playing.

Until proven otherwise, he belongs in the Hall of Fame, no questions asked.

And if you want to hate on people, take a look at Sosa. Major League basball announces that theyre cracking down on steroids abuse, and all of a sudden he takes a year off from the game and when he comes back hes about 60 pounds lighter. But again, innocent until proven guilty.

That's a big IF. I think Pete Rose, Mark McGuire & Hulk Hogan all have a better shot of getting in than Barry "the face of 'roids in baseball" Bonds does!

only if the put an asterisk by the ball that broke Hank Aarons record or his introduction into the hall

if the asterisk ball goes to the hall, barry will not show for his induction. and i can guarantee that willie mays will boycot all future hall of fame events if that altered ball gets in.

Nah, he will be there. We are talking about the Hall of Fame. Bonds would be an idiot to skip it, and he knows that very well.

I think he will if for no other reason than it gives him a very public forum and national spotlight to spew more filth out of his bigoted mouth and yes, I said bigoted because how much you want to bet that Barroid is one very prejudiced and hate filled man?
